5hour morning bus from Hanoi to Sapa where you will enjoy your lunch before touring Sapa. Your afternoon tour Sapa with a nice trek to Catcat village of Black H’mong people. You can trek from Sapa town or get transfer to the village gate. If you are young and have good health, we advise you to trek from Sapa town. It is because there are some great stops at the curves for wonderful photos while going by car, you can not stop because the road is so small. Trafic jam would happen if anyone stop there.
Remmemder to take good walking shoes as there are so many steps up and down the mountain and the valley of Catcat. The first visit in the village is the comunity hall where you can see daily farming tools for the local people here. Your tour guide will share experience how the tools are used for farming activiest.
Next visit in this village is a local home of Black H'mong family. You will come inside the house to see how they live, visit the kitchen, bed rooms... You are free to take photos of their house. We are resposible to pay the fee to visit local houses even if they do not require. However, it is something to make them happier with our next trip here.
The life of the local people is very hard here, but you will see no unhappy faces of the locals and you will see many old people. It could be said money and luxury items are not everything, but how to enjoy our life is much more important.
Catcat village is now a good place for homestay. The local people are training to serve meals and arrange the accommodation for western travelers who would like to have the real experience on the local culture. It is a good idea to stay for 1 night.

Nowadays, the local H'mong people also start offerring homestay services for travelers who love experience the local culture closely. The house is very simple, but the toleit is clean. The food prepared by them are quite good, so today your tour guide and the host will cook your lunch.
After lunch, say goodbye to the host, you continue your walk to Ta Van village of the Giay and Red Dzao people. Visit the local home of the Giay people, enjoy some tea with them. The Giay family is the best choice for tourists on Sapa holiday to stay overnight in the village. The Giay are well trained to serve food and accommodation. Your train's arrival at Hanoi train station at 4:30 am. Take a rest at a mini hotel and enjoy the breakfast. 8:40 Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for Hanoi city tour.
Start with Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where you can see the real body of our uncle Ho. Please dress formally in the way to pay respect to our kind leader. It may take half an hour to join in the line and get out of the mausoleum. Here, you can go to see the front of the mausoluem where your tour guide will share the most famous historical moment of the country and why the mausoluem was built here. How was it built? You also get to know the charming surroundings.
Continue to walk inside the HCM complex where you can see the very charming presidental palace in the French architect. You can not come inside the building because it is still in use for Vietnamese leaders to have meetings with foreign delegations. Here, you tour guide will share with you why the building was built and how it was used before Vietnam got the independence.
Enjoy a nice walk in the lush garden of many really big trees to see where our leader - Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. First, you will see a beautiful garage of 3 cars for Ho Chi Minh - gifts from Vietnamese Oversea in France and from So Viet union. You also see a small but nice meeting room where Ho Chi Minh recieved guests. Then, you will see the little French house where he lived for 4 years since 1954 to 1958. It is located next to a very nice fish pond.
From the French house, you can see a little but very nice stilt house in the traditional architecture of the Tay ethnic group in the mountainous area. Here, Ho Chi Minh lived since 1958 until he said goodbye to our world. The complex is very big and charming and may take you around 2 hours to explore. It is one of the highlight of Hanoi tour package.
Leaving the complex, you will see a little but unique architeture - One Pillar Pagoda in the shape of a lotus follower built in 1049 by the king Ly Thai Tong who got a son from Buddha. You can not leave this area without a nice photo.
Continue your Hanoi tour with the temple of literature - Viet Nam’s first university built in 1076 AD. Here, your tour guide will explain how Vietnamese education system was formed, how students got a seat inside this university and graduated from this university. Here, you can see the different languages Vietnamese used in the past and the language based on Latin anphbet we are using now. The most important thing you will see here is the setting or the architecture of the temple of literature.
Then explore the oldest Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of charming west lake.
