Day 6: Hamrong Mountain in Sapa - Bus/car to Hanoi

Your train's arrival at Hanoi train station at 4:30 am. Take a rest at a mini hotel and enjoy the breakfast. 8:40 Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for Hanoi city tour.

Start with Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where you can see the real body of our uncle Ho. Please dress formally in the way to pay respect to our kind leader. It may take half an hour to join in the line and get out of the mausoleum. Here, you can go to see the front of the mausoluem where your tour guide will share the most famous historical moment of the country and why the mausoluem was built here. How was it built? You also get to know the charming surroundings.

Continue to walk inside the HCM complex where you can see the very charming presidental palace in the French architect. You can not come inside the building because it is still in use for Vietnamese leaders to have meetings with foreign delegations. Here, you tour guide will share with you why the building was built and how it was used before Vietnam got the independence.

Enjoy a nice walk in the lush garden of many really big trees to see where our leader - Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. First, you will see a beautiful garage of 3 cars for Ho Chi Minh - gifts from Vietnamese Oversea in France and from So Viet union. You also see a small but nice meeting room where Ho Chi Minh recieved guests. Then, you will see the little French house where he lived for 4 years since 1954 to 1958. It is located next to a very nice fish pond.

From the French house, you can see a little but very nice stilt house in the traditional architecture of the Tay ethnic group in the mountainous area. Here, Ho Chi Minh lived since 1958 until he said goodbye to our world. The complex is very big and charming and may take you around 2 hours to explore. It is one of the highlight of Hanoi tour package.

Leaving the complex, you will see a little but unique architeture - One Pillar Pagoda in the shape of a lotus follower built in 1049 by the king Ly Thai Tong who got a son from Buddha. You can not leave this area without a nice photo.

Continue your Hanoi tour with the temple of literature - Viet Nam’s first university built in 1076 AD. Here, your tour guide will explain how Vietnamese education system was formed, how students got a seat inside this university and graduated from this university. Here, you can see the different languages Vietnamese used in the past and the language based on Latin anphbet we are using now. The most important thing you will see here is the setting or the architecture of the temple of literature.

Then explore the oldest Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of charming west lake.

Thank you for your revised itinerary! I realise the itinerary we are moving hotel every night,as my parents and parents in law are old, i would like to minimise the moving of hotels everyday. Can we stay at Sapa for 2 nights and start travelling early morning on 6th December to Halong Bay instead of Hanoi ? I know this journey takes about 8-9 hours? Does Halong Bay hotel has a fixed check in timing ? If yes, maybe we can travel to Halong Bay first on 4th Dec then to Sapa ? What would you suggest?

Regarding to hotel, beside the options you provided, do you have other choice ? :) Or if i will to book my own hotels, you just provide the tour and transport, can i check how much will it cost per person ?

Thank you very much for the planning! Sorry we have some changes , because I'm trying to ensure the comfort yet still can enjoy most of the places my parents &parents in law want to go . They are 55- 60 years old this year but two of my mothers are not as strong so probably some light hiking in SAPA is fine :)

I found a better timing for flight arrival - Thu, 03 Dec 2015 Singapore 08:00 to Hanoi (HAN) 10:30am so that we can enjoy most of the trip.

Upon arrival, is it ok to go to Sapa straight ?
Day 1 – 3rd Dec: Hanoi arrival - charming Sapa
Day 2 – 4th Dec: Tour Sapa off beaten track
Day 3 – 5th Dec: Sapa - Hanoi (B, L)
Day 4 – 6th Dec: Hanoi – Halong bay(B, L, D)
Day 5 – 7th Dec: Halong bay – Hanoi(B, Brunch)
Day 6 – 8th Dec: Hanoi - Noibai airport(B)

Can you tell me if it is possible to travel this way ? The total price of the tour with option 2 hotel and price of tour without hotel ? Once you respond and i check with my parents, i can go forward to pay the deposit and confirm the tour.

thank you for your new itinerary and another suggestions for the cruise ! It sounds good, let me check with my parents to see if they are happy with the itinerary . We can give you a answer by tonight . As for the hotel, I will book them myself because i got some loyalty points i need to use for agoda.

Regarding to food tour, my parents dont take beef but the rest are fine . :) I'm the only vegetarian in the group but i can take anything except for meat , mixing together in the dish is fine for me, I'm not so strict.

Meanwhile can you provide me the payment details so that i can prepare the deposit instruction to send to you . Is USD the only currency accepted, can we pay in vietnamese dong instead? Can the deposit be 10% of the tour and the rest in cash paid in Vietnam?
