Here, you will have chances to see the aged , pale blue Morris automobile which transferred a local monk to Saigon. He immolated himself here in 1963 in protest the anti-Buddhist laws of Ngo Dinh Diem - The South Vietnam President.
Next, discover King Tu Duc tomb. The tomb but not tomb. It is like a very romantic palace for the King - also used as second palaces to relax when he was alive. Check in at your hotel and enjoy walking tour around the ancient Hoian – World Cultural Heritage Site. Visit the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge – it is also a pagoda. Enjoy the view of Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Turtle islands as well.
The 1st stop is a visit to the fruit garden of Mr. Nam Chanh on Thoi Son 3 Island. Enjoy the home-grown fruits and listen to the traditional music and folk songs called Dan Ca Tai Tu. From the local market, enjoy the horse ride along the village roads with lush fruit gardens and coconut farms on both sides in An Khanh – Possible to see tet and coconut cake making family as well. The horse ride takes you to Vuon Dau restaurant in a lush fruit garden for lunch. After lunch, enjoy the boat rowing along the small canals to the mail motorboat and cruise cross the Mekong river back to My Tho town. Drive back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Enjoy a short drive to Cu Chi tunnels. you will have an excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels, just west of Saigon. These tunnels were used as a means of underground communication during the war against the French and then later against the Americans. Here, you will have chances to go under ground to have a little experience how Vietnamese fighters livings during the war against America and why we won the war. Have lunch.
Drive back to Saigon for for city tour. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, Reunification Palace. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh market . Overnight in Saigon.
