4day Tour Angkor Wat 2020 & 2021

Day 1 Siem Reap Arrival

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you are warmly welcomed by our friendly tour guide & driver, then then you will transfer direct to the hotel.Overnight at hotel Optional Show – Amazon Angkor/Art Shadow Restaurant/Angkor Dynasty/Smile of Angkor / Rosana Broadway

Day 2 Angkor Discovery (B/L)

An early morning to avoid the crowd, we head out to visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples which has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them, it was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider. Then head back to see the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom, the Great Angkor City, established in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. We also visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King &Baphoun temple before continue to visit Angkor Wat, the most popular tourist attraction in Cambodia-it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat, also known as the “ City of Temples” a temple complex in Cambodia and one of the largest religious monuments in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. Seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.If time permitted, view sunset from where possible.Overnight at hotel

Day 3 Tonle Sap Lake/ Angkor National Museum / Silk Farm/ West Baray(B/L)

Breakfast at hotel. We drive to ChhongKhneasvillage, the floating village located 10 kilometers southof Siem Reap town. Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body and, one of the largest in Asia. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen. Back to city and visit "Les Artisans D`Angkor - ChantiersEcoles", this center works with young artisans; the team creates, produce and market a unique collection of ornamental sculpture, lacquer, silk weaving and silk painting. The company promotes fair and sustainable development in order to provide benefits to rural communities.

In the afternoon, visit the Angkor National Museum, the archaeological museum dedicated to the collection, preservation and presentation of Angkorian artifacts, also to provides information and education about art and culture of Khmer civilization, with collections mainly dated from Khmer Empire's Angkor period circa 9th to 14th-century. Then head out to the west around 15km to visit Silk Farm at Puok, A place of preservation of traditional Cambodian Handicraft which consist of mulberry trees, Silk worm farming, cocoon unwinding and silk weaving. On the way back, we visit the West Baray “Water Reservoir” Rectangular in shape and measuring approximately 7.8 by 2.1 kilometers, the West Baray is the largest baray at Angkor and one of the largest handcut water reservoirs on Earth, possessing a current maximum capacity of 12 to 14 billion gallons of water (53 million m3). Its waters are contained by tall earthen dikes measuring 39 feet in height.In the center of the baray is the West Mebon, a Hindu temple built on an artificial island.Overnight at hotel

Day 4 Siem Reap / Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel In morning or noon, our driver will pick up and transfer to Siem Reap International airport for boarding home sweet home!

Please note on Day 3 “Tonle Sap Lake”is not recommend from Feb – July due to water in the lake is very shallow & smelly. Guest can choose one of the following trips to participate: -

Option 1: Countryside Tours (No extra charge) In the morning, head out of busy town around 9-15km to where you will have experience and understand about local cultures, customs & traditional of Cambodian living in outskirt. You will then start trekking in the village to visit local market, weaving basket, noodle making, Khmer traditional houses, vegetable farms, see animals, cows, water-buffaloes, chat to local people; see their daily activities and learn how they earn or surviving their life. Enjoy riding through the village, paddy rice fields & authentic places with very beautiful picturesque follow each season along the way. Enjoy Khmer authentic lunch before drop off hotel.

Option 2: Bird Watching at BeoungPearaing Biodiversity Conservation Center (this program is available from Jan – Jun or early of July only). Extra charge to the core 10$/pax. With 3 to 3.50hrs tours included round transfer, this site can be visited from early morning till late afternoon. The best time to go there is 06:30am or 03:30pm.

We head out to BoengPearaing, a new birding site based around a natural reservoir just south of the Tonlé Sap about 15km from downtown where you’ll have chance for birdwatching & see countryside with beautiful sceneries along the way. After 30min drive, arrive entrance counter and do registration before lead you to the core, enjoy hot tea or coffee view from the river bank seeing many birds on the tree and listening to birdcrying before they fly away to the find food. Later on, we jump on the PVC boat (4pax/boat) ride around 40min – 60mins to explore and spot many species of water birds including; pelicans, storks, comb ducks, cormorants, darter, purple, grey heron, adjutants, black headed ibis etc. Make sure you have a good camera and don’t forget to take some nice photo while on the way back as your journey will pass through beautiful countryside, rice paddies with some birds, vegetable farms, stilt houses, see animals, cattle and other interesting rural activities before return to the hotel.
